Wow! What a fantastic notion. Snow White and zombies.
Suddenly, everything about that fairy tale makes a really creepy kind of sense...

There is no sense of character, no setting to envisage, which makes it all hard to see. Found it quite boring even for a short piece. Nothing much happens and the end is a wash-out.

Interesting. Always nice to retackle a fairy tale; this one was also done by Neil Gaiman in his Snow, Glass, Apples.
The author is aiming for that brief, curt, powerful writing style; I wonder, though, if her writing might be more suited to a more lengthy piece. I feel I'm missing out on quite a lot without explanation: it takes a good deal of skill to be able to say a lot in a little.
I feel the Anon above is right about the characterisation, too: that's something often lost in short pieces.

I really liked this. It's got great atmosphere. The characterisation is there between the lines (IMHO), but it may take an extra reading. Go Genevieve!

I really really liked this. The true otherness and dark warning of all original fairy tales, mixed with voodoo. Internally coherent and nicely paced, with good use of language. Only v slight reservation about the slight stumble between girl in glass coffin and 2nd wife in club, which I felt needed more detail etc.
Go Genevieve! Give us more!
