Yay, pantoum!
I enjoyed this very much, Joanne.

Remarkably evocative. I re-read it several times. I love the way it built up, a catalog of the small things one loves about a world. Even though I have no idea what hacahuistes are.

I loved this piece. To me it shows off the power and intent of the pantoum in that the meaning of the words are not so important as the rhythm and repetition--all gaged to appeal to the listener. Great job, Joanne!

Thanks for the comments! (I made up hacahuistes.)

I've been moving, so that's why I'm three weeks late but I have to say this: every time I see there's a new poem by you on SH, I get a little thrill of excitement. :)
