I loved it. At first I found the tone and language of the protagonist difficult and too ornate to be credible, but as I got into the story (and oh, how nice is the realization that one's suspicions were right when the character meets the pilot), it struck me as a remarkably solid rendition of his original speech affectations.
Schulz would be proud.

That was totally wonderful. I love Peanuts and Poe and Lovecraft, but I admit that I never thought of combining them like that.
I think the funniest bit was "I struck out for the aerodrome and asked after a pilot skilled in night reconnaissance. The mechanics there;diminutive, jaundiced fellows;directed me to a small French-themed café alongside the airstrip.
There, I met my pilot. He was a veteran of the war, with a characteristically large Gallic nose and sharp black eyes that peered from just underneath the seam of his leather flying cap. He nursed his root beer silently,"
but then I always loved the Snoopy vs Red Baron stuff.

Very strange and very funny. I also liked the description of the pilot and mechanics! Also, liked the ending too.

The combination is perfect in every detail - from Linus as the lunatic investigator into things Peanuts Were Not Meant to Know, to Woodstock and his bird friends as tiny men squeaking in 'Aramic'. Both Lovecraft and Schultz are captured perfectly. Brilliant.

That was very, very good. I got to this from a game designer's e-mail group that includes several Call of Cthulhu designers.
Well done!

That story was an immense amount of fun. Thanks.
I've put my review here: http://www.journalscape.com/sfreviews/2004-10-29-13:22/
Although, truth be told, I didn't have much to add to what's already been said here.
