Reminded me of one of the short stories from the omnibus film "Robot Stories" (2002), did the author see that? An old dying artist doesn't want to go into the computer like everyone else, like his wife. Anyway, the afterlife as a computer memory strikes me as an odd idea, seems appealing to atheist scientists I guess, like quantum immortality. There's room for more than one good story in the vein, and this was enjoyable. Thanks.
