What a tremendous story. I made the mistake of pulling it up when I really didn't have time to read it. Needless to say, all other obligations went right out the window, or perhaps into the pumpkin patch. It's a marvelous concept, exquisitely painful to read, with a great hope unleashed at the end. Wonderful. I'll be posting links to this one, for it's definitely something to be shared.

Wow...an incredible story. I wouldn't be surprised to see this in a Norton anthology in a decade's time.
