I enjoyed this piece. The concept reminds me of an old Irish myth (I dunno, maybe they're called fairy tales?) that was central in a movie I used to love as a kid. It's nice to see the concept again, and I really enjoyed how it was presented.

A good story using traditional themes - the swan maid, the three fateful blows - in a modern setting. I like the matter of fact tone of voice, the observation of detail - Quote:
careful even in her annoyance to keep the burning tip of her cigarette away from my skin.
And the twist at the end to make her human - clever, and powerfully done.

A very good story. Lots of pace, hints of old legend nicely put in modern setting which also takes the ending ito a new place.
