Strong story.
And yet, I feel that it's just the beginning. As though it's the back-story for the real story, a novel about how Danis takes down the Blades.
(If you do write that novel, I want to read it.)

This story was really good.
I thought it demonstrated really well how a story can build to an excellent ending, but not necessarily one that the reader expects.
Very strong character, and I didn't feel that anything out of place happened, but I still wanted to read until the very end.
Nice work, this is one of the reasons I love Strange Horizons.

I really enjoyed this tale's refreshingly fun and straightforward storytelling. Wonderful, emotional, and just really really good.
