Another beautiful story from Dora Goss. And I love the accompanying illustration.

What really drew me into this story, beyond the beautiful language present in every Goss story, was the mother-daughter tension/reconciliation. Beautifully done. I also very much enjoyed the small glimpses of literary characters we saw -- they felt as if they were letting us peek through a small window into a fully-formed literary world that Goss knows inside and out.
