How do you like the new submission tracking system?

This year, we've implemented a new system that lets you get your story's status by going to a particular web page. (The URL is in the autoresponse email.)
It occurs to me that I haven't yet heard much feedback about this system. Any thoughts on it? Have you tried it? Do you like it? Do you have requests for improvements?

Wow, I didn't even notice that. but I like it, thanks for pointing it out. To be honest I never look closely at the text in the autoresponse email. I just slap a gmail label on the email and archive it. Then I update my duotrope tracking to show that the submission has been acknowledged.
If you haven't received much reaction to the new feature, maybe others have missed it in the autoresponse too.
Glad you like it!
Yeah, sadly, people who've submitted before are likely to miss it. We do give the status URL on the "you've successfully submitted" acknowledgment page, but I suspect many people don't read that page. We also say at the top of the autoresponse email that it contains important information and to read the whole thing, but I suspect most people who've submitted to us before don't even look at the content, just assume it's the same old autoresponse.
But I don't think there's much we can do about that. Suggestions on ways to call more attention to this are welcome, but if the submitter isn't reading any of the text we show them, then I don't think we can get their attention.
Which is fine; most responses don't go astray, so most people don't end up needing the status URL. And I'm guessing most new submitters do read the autoresponder, so I figure over time word will spread.
I wonder if you could contact the Admins at Duotrope and see if they can add something to the Market listing indicating that the Status URL exists as a new feature? Then again, those who are unlikely to read the full auto response are probably equally unlikely to notice a change like that...
Fortunately for me I'm neurotic enough to read everything multiple times.
Jed, yeah I think most people who need to info will find the feature when the need it. Anyway, I'll probably skim those autoresponses more closely from now on, just checking for new goodies!
I like it.
I've recently put in my first submission and I think it's great, although it does lend itself to obssessive checking.
