Stats: Submission volume by time of day

For those of you who like statistics, here's a graph of the number of total submissions in each hour of the day, aggregated across the first fourteen days of 2010.

For example, the first bar of the graph shows that a total of about 45 submissions arrived (over the course of those first two weeks) during the hour between midnight (Eastern US time) and 1 a.m. on various days.
There are a few things that are obscured by the graph. For example, the first day we were open, there was a several-hour period of the morning when the submission form was accidentally closed; and the second day we were open, the submission form was accidentally closed for about 45 minutes during that midnight-to-1-a.m. hour. Also, the drop-off in subs toward the end of the day is certainly partly due to the fact that the submission form was closed during those hours for most of this two-week period.
Anyway, I thought it was an interesting graph. Among other things, it indicates that there's generally a major lull around 5 a.m. eastern-US time, even though that's 10 a.m. London time and midnight eastern-Australia time; no real surprise, as the majority of our submissions are still from the US (and a fair number from Canada).
