Sad news yesterday that Joanna Russ has died. There's a brief obituary at Locus Online, and her entry in the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction is available here. We've also been collecting some quotes and links on Twitter, and will be keeping an eye out for other tributes. An enormously important and brilliant writer of both fiction and criticism, she will be missed, but remembered.
