Week 2 Blogger Prize: Small Beer Press Package

Posted by Susan Marie Groppi

Entering the second week of the Strange Horizons fund drive, we have a new blogger prize! (I'll be announcing the winners of the first week's prize soon.) This week, if you blog about the Strange Horizons fund drive, you might win the Small Beer Press Package.

Small Beer Press, founded and run by Gavin Grant and Kelly Link, is an indie-publishing powerhouse based in western Massachusetts. In addition to the much-beloved zine Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, they publish wonderful books under three different imprints: Small Beer Press, Peapod Classics, and the newly-launched children's book imprint Big Mouth House. Through Small Beer Press, Gavin and Kelly have not only published consistently excellent (and beautifully-designed) books, they've also actively supported small-press and independent speculative fiction publishing.

We're thrilled to offer this special Small Beer Press prize package for this week's blogger incentive prize. The package includes:

  • One copy of Interfictions 2, an anthology of interstitial writing edited by Delia Sherman and Christopher Barzak.
  • One copy of The Working Writer's Daily Planner 2010, a new day planner that focuses on the needs of working writers, including not only market and deadline information but also the occasional fun distraction.
  • A four-issue subscription to Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet. The zine is packed full of quirky and brilliant fiction and non-fiction, and you'll also get a free chocolate bar with each issue.

All this can be yours! To enter the prize drawing, all you have to do is blog about Strange Horizons during the second week of our fund drive. (August 10th - August 16th.) Talk about why you like Strange Horizons, why you think we're worth supporting financially, and tell people how they can help out. (It helps to link to our main fund drive page, and maybe the prize list too.) We'll put in the work to try and find your posts, but if you want to make sure we see you, post here in the comments.
