At the Duck Convention

By David C. Kopaska-Merkel

a resolution was proposed

and carried with near

unanimous support

to outlaw decoys,

those quisling quackers,

web-foot weasels

siren-singing death-dealing

traitors to the flocks,

near unani-

mous, I say;

there were a few votes nay,

but when challenged,

the offending delegates,

those disgraceful dissenters,

spoke not,

but floated aimlessly

in garish splendor,

in all,

a rather wooden response.
